HAPPY NEW YEAR 2005 EVERYONE!!
Went down to Singapore with Gavin, Seng Kiat and Irene for new year eve celebration. The three of us crowded wc's apartment which was left empty by his sisters. The train ride wasn't that pleasant cos it got delayed by more than an hour due to some engine problem which I overheard from the crew's walkie talkie on board. Nonetheless, we reached there in one piece.
The days in sg was basically involved in eating, eating and eating..haha. Had seafood and wine in a restaurant at Clark Quay (hope i got the spelling correct). The food was good except that the crab wasn't that fresh and meaty. I took most of the wine since all of them seem to be unable to drink so much plus SK dislike the taste of it. Later that nite, celebration in Hooters which was nearby. It was raining rather heavily at first but thank god, by the time we finished our meal, no more rain...phew! Got ourselves a table with high stools outside. Quite a pleasant table since it's a little windy and get to "see" lots of stuff..lol. Jenny and Daniel joined us and we had 3 jug of beers which cost a bomb...well...that's the price u gonna get at these places. Speaking of them, I think they look great together, don't you think so guys??
By the time the clock strike 12am...errr..actually even minutes before that, someone started spraying errr..wat u call that..party spray??! Chaos started and I was basically sprayed all over by dunno who since my glasses were all covered with snow. Seconds later, spotted Jenny who tried to hide. But me and Gavin were too fast for her...chased her down the road and fight begun..all of us were "flowery" from head till to in the end. WC, having nowhere to run was one of the worst since he was standing there like a statue for us to spray upon. Jenny almost lost her watch..yeah..almost..she's damn lucky, so careless of her. Irene on the other hand was perfectly clean after declaring a no-fight situation with us.
The next day, supposed to go for night safari but time didn't permit. Ended up having dinner in Billy Bombers...and oOOooo..the dinner was great. Never had I eaten such a humongous burger in my life...lol...it was really yummy! Thereafter, a midnight movie of "Meet The Fockers". Oh man, that movie was hilarious!!!!
Breakfast on Sunday was hearty with chicken rice, chilli squid, tofu and vege. Caught another movie and dinner with Jenny before heading to the train station. Reached KL as early as 6 am - 30 min ahead the time scheduled. And to our great surprise and annoyance, our train ticket couldn't be use as a single ride pass for the komuter..a change of policy for 2005 it seems. Crap!! I don't see any notice or advert stating that anywhere in the station. If such policy were to be changed, at least inform the public properly!But NOOOOOOOOO, no notice were given. Ticket counters were all closed, and only ONE ticket vending machine was working with dollar notes but ONLY accept up to 10 ringgit note. Screwed up system!! They never improve..darn. Luckily, SK had some spare changes and we managed to get our tickets.
Reached home at about 9.15. Bought some breakfast and sent Irene home. By the time I came back..was oredi like a dead fish. Ended up sleeping off and on the whole day.
Things were pretty much the same for these few days - rotting at home. Thinking of going to midvalley to look for some "inspiration" on what I should get present..hmmmm.....
